Frequently Asked Questions

What type of equipment do you use?

We use only the top of the line commercial equipment, including Pioneer, JBL, Stanton, and Mackie.

Will the DJ play requests?

We gladly take requests as long as they are not on your forbidden song list and as long as they are appropriate for your particular event.

Can we bring our own CD's for the DJ to play?

Absolutely!

When will the DJ arrive at the event?

The DJ will usually arrive thirty minutes to one hour before the scheduled start time of the music.  However, no exact time of arrival can be guaranteed, only the start time.

What if we need the DJ to be on site more than a half hour before the music starts?

Usually that will be provided for by adding that extra time to the actual performance time in pricing the event.

Will the DJ make announcements if needed?

Absolutely! The DJ will make all necessary announcements and will serve as your Master of Ceremonies to the extent you require.

What are your payment terms?

A retainer fee of $100 reserves your date.  The balance of your payment is generally due on or before the day of your event.  We accept credit cards as well as corporate or personal checks. 

Will the DJ play overtime if needed?

The DJ will gladly play overtime if at all possible. 

How do you price your services?

Since every event is unique, we do not have a fixed price for every event.  We price each event based upon the following factors:  (1) length of performance, (2) the venue,  (3) the type of event, and (4) the lead time provided.  In addition, there may be one or more seasonal promotions in effect at any one time.  We will be glad to give you a quote by phone or by email.

Why don't you have a fixed price like some other DJ's?

Each event and each venue is unique and requires a unique degree of planning, setup, and  effort on the part of the DJ.  Rather than have everyone pay for the "most demanding" scenario, we offer discounts from our standard rates depending on the individual factors of each event.  For example, simply playing background music for a corporate picnic would not be the equivalent of performing as a Master of Ceremony at a complex wedding reception.

Once I receive a quote, when do I need to send you a deposit?

Since we only reserve a date upon receiving a deposit, we recommend you either use our online payment system or give us a call as soon as you decide to retain our services.  We will of course be happy to work with you in case of special circumstances. 

Once we book our event, can we call you or meet with you to discuss any questions or requests?

Absolutely!  We will be pleased to meet with you at your convenience or to discuss any aspect of your event at any time.
